We Took Over The Laugh Factory

Posted by Picasa

You know, I'm so used to performing for strangers, that I'd forgotten how nerve racking it can be when you KNOW people in the audience! Yikes! But when the MC introduced me, the cheers and applause were so thunderous I felt like a rock star! I was only one of the comics on that night, but the ladies made me feel like I was the only one in the room. They could have done anything with their Saturday Night in the City and they came out to see me. (A risky proposition since comedy and what's funny is sooo subjective.) But like the Visa commercial touts -- priceless.

And thanks to Jack, the manager, we were able to get on stage after the show like we owned the joint and take pictures. It was a wonderful night!

OK, I can now say that I have finally fulfilled my desire to relive last weekend. The way I hungrily awaited posts from the regular bloggers that I knew attended, you would have thought I WASN'T there!! You all did great jobs with your posts, pictures and video.

Look like you all had a great time at the Laugh Factory, I really hate I missed going.. all my sisters fell asleep and didn't feel like getting up. I know I should have just tried to hook up with the other ladies and come to your show. I bet your were great. Maybe, it will be another time, never know. Your blog is alway good and interesting.

I've had sisterlocks for three years and I'm still unhappy with the rather rough texture of my hair. I do not use oils, pomades, or butters--just shampoo with J.R. Liggett shampoo. I've tried all the Sisterlocks hair products, but nothing seems to truly soften my hair. Are sisterlocks supposed to feel rough?

Hi Leighann,

Thanks for helping me to make the decision to SL. I've been reading and found your site. I love my SL and tell people about them daily. Your hair is similar to mine and I could convince my husband about SL based on your hair. His main concern was me liking it and he worried about me changing my mind. I have had my locks now going on 5 months and have no complaints. Thanks for the site I visit weekly.

Leighann, I'm having Leighann withdrawals and need to hear from you. I'm back from a busy summer and still have a package for you sitting in my house. Holler at us!

Wow, what a beautiful photo filled with gorgeous women and their sls!! I wasn't able to make that trip with the group (due to surgery), but will be heading to NYC to see the "Color Purple" in November as a b-day treat to myself, and I can't wait :)
